I fished a club tournament last Saturday on Lake tullock. Water temperature was 55 and the water was clear. I didn’t get any pre fish due to boat issues prior to the tournament but still managed 2nd place with 12.85lbs. The bite was tough, I started out throwing jigs and 3in keitech swim baits on 1/4 oz jig heads. I was able to get a limit fast but it was small. Most fish were in the 10-15 ft range and hitting hard but only averaging 1lb. Worked main lake until around noon, then decided to run towards black creek. Got a 2.5 lber there on a jerk bait but it was the only bite in an hour and a half. While heading out back towards main lake I trolled over the creek channel and saw a school of fish in 50ft of water. I pulled out a spoon and went to work. Started culling immediately, most fish were 2 lbs or so. The bite started slow so I switched to the 3in keitech swim bait again, it took a while to get down but first cast produced a 3.5lber. The clock ran out on me and had to make the run back. Most boats reported that jigs and spoons were their key baits, good luck out there!
