The last trout stocking was May 6 at Davis Camp. The trout have moved around from the last stocking date but folks are still catching an occasional trout on both sides of the river. Gage, a local 8 year old fisherman, caught a nice 1.48 lbs. rainbow on a green crappie jig fishing from shore in the Rotary Park area. Most people think anchovies are usually the best bait for the river for cats and stripers. Laughlin Lagoon is producing largemouth. You can check the Bureau of Reclamation Web site for flow predictions http://www.usbr.gov/lc/riverops.html before you go. If you fish the river below Davis Dam and are having luck, please e-mail me at gcummins@azgfd.gov so I can share your successes with others. Many thanks to Rusty from the Riviera Marina for his fishing report.
