Fishing for all species has been picking up with the warmer weather and anglers have been having great luck all over. Stripers are still biting very well, mainly on Sardines, Lugworms, and chicken liver. Catfish have also been caught using the chicken liver and cut bait like anchovies or mackerel. People have been catching both Largemouth and Smallmouth bass using more reaction baits such as top water or jerk baits. Trout have also been caught off the shoreline using nightcrawlers and power bait.

Fishing is good. Stripers are biting lugworms and sardines good in 20 to 50ft deep. Catfish are biting a variety of bait. Mackerel, chicken liver and anchovies are working good. The largemouth bass are biting good on senkos ,flukes, and top water along with a variety of other baits .ln and around the grass has been best for bass. Bluegil are starting to pick up. Anglers have been having another great week for multiple species throughout the lake. Stripers have been biting well on sardines and lugworms in the canal by the entrance booth, far end of the rip rap in front of the boat shop, and coves around the lake.
