The Truckee River is flowing high right now, especially in the Glenshire area. Anglers should not wade and stay out of the water as best they can due to the higher flows. Streamer fishing is doing well. Anglers streamer fishing should fish the edges of the river in the slower water. Anglers euro nymphing or indicator nymphing should try hares ears, golden stones, san juan worms, and large pheasant tail size 14. Some other current bug recommendations for the Truckee are Pats Rubber Legs, Hares Ear Size 14, Pheasant Tail Size 14, Small Crawdads, and any size 10 streamer.
