Boaters are having luck with stripers up to 4 pounds in the Boulder Basin

Boaters are having luck with stripers up to 4 pounds in the Boulder Basin. Some are trolling soft swimbaits, and others are jigging in around 40 feet of water. Smallmouth and largemouth bass are hitting watermelon-colored worms and green pumpkin jigs. Crappie anglers are experimenting with tube jigs and swimbaits in the Overton Arm.

Jakes Creek Reservoir (Boies Reservoir): Jakes Creek has approximately eight inches of ice
Cave Lake: The lake is closed to fishing at this time
Ruby Lake NWR: Harrison Pass is closed so anglers will need to access the Refuge through Secret Pass
Jiggs Reservoir (Zunino Reservoir): Almost dry and no fish
Willow Creek Reservoir: No fish At this time
Owyhee River: As of January 13, The East Fork of the Owyhee River near Mountain City was flowing at 45 cfs
Humboldt River: As of January 13, South Fork of the Humboldt was flowing between 8 and 15 cfs
Bruneau River: As of January 13, the Bruneau River is showing ice but expect flows around 20 cfs
