A variety of bugs are hatching in the mornings and evenings. Look for good Callabaetis mayfly and damsel activity in the early part of the day. Midging under an indicator or fishing with a sinking line and nymph, buggers or leeches will catch fish after the hatches subside. In the evenings when the wind is not blowing there has been good midge activity and a fair number of caddis hatching.

Don't wait too long to go as the shallow water will warm up significantly with the nice weather ahead and the lake will begin to drop, drying up some of the shallow trout habitat. While most of the fish in Frenchman's are stocked, the average size is 13" - 16" and they put up a great fight.
