Stripers have been providing anglers with top-water action in the Vegas Wash area, though overall the fishing has been slow. Some anglers have been reeling in a few fish along the tires outside of Lake Mead Marina and Hemenway Harbor as well as along the beaches. Anglers fishing out of Echo Bay have been reeling in stripers, catfish and some smallmouth bass. Striped bass have been biting anchovies, sardines and hardware. A mid-diving silver and black minnow pattern trolled or cast has been productive. For catfish try anchovies or stinkbait fished on the bottom.
