Water is slowly warming and clarity is improving daily. Browns to four pounds and rainbows to 25 inches are active. The early bite has been close to shore or in shallow water. The afternoon bite has been in deeper water, but still closer to shore. Insect hatches have begun. Surges of insects are starting to rise from the muddy bottoms before returning to the safety of the bottom. Doug Neal: (530) 258-6732 http://www.almanorfishingadventures.com
