Tim Wilson of the Pyramid Lake Marina and RV Park at (775) 476-1156: Fishing has been a little slow but it is picking up.

The majority of the fish are being caught at about 30 feet deep, close to shore, with the standard lures: Apex and Flatfish.

Fly fishing has been decent with Woolly Buggers and lots of Nymphs and Cooper Johns.

Fly fishing club meets on Apr. 4

The Carson Fly Fishing Club will hold its regular club meeting on Wednesday evening, Apr. 4. The evening's guest speaker will be Chris Wharton of Stillwater Guide Service and he will give a program on the techniques for fishing local waters. That meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the conference room of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), located at 5665 Morgan Mill Road.
