Usually the reports from Davis in the summer say something like, the water is warm and the fishing is pretty slow. This summer the weather has not been too bad at Davis and the overall fishing has been much better. Reports from some local guides include awesome Blood Midge hatches in the mornings and evenings.
Fish are rising hard to them and stripping Stillwater nymphs has been working well. The fish are in much better shape than they were last spring and Davis looks to get back to its old form. The next few months should be awesome.
