The Moapa Dace is endemic to Nevada, found only in the warm springs and tributaries of the Moapa River system in Clark County. Listed as federally endangered since 1967, this small native minnow faces threats from habitat loss and invasive species. The Nevada Department of Wildlife cooperates with federal agencies on recovery efforts. All take is prohibited under the Endangered Species Act, and critical habitat protections are in place for the remaining spring complexes.
