In Nevada
Native
Speckled Dace are native to Nevada and found throughout much of the state in cool streams, springs, and rivers, particularly in the Lahontan, Colorado River, and Bonneville basins. They are among the most widespread native fish in Nevada, inhabiting diverse habitats from desert springs to mountain streams. Several isolated populations, including those in thermal springs and desert systems, are of conservation concern due to habitat fragmentation and competition from introduced species.
