Topaz Derby Update

Ginger Buzzard manager of the Topaz General Store and RV Park reports 4 tagged fish recorded on week #4 at the Topaz General Store. So far there have been a total of 352-2 pound fish recorded with many of those 2 pound fish weighing over the 2 pounds. All tagged fish recorded during the derby are worth $100 with free slot play at the Topaz Lake Casino and drawings for the raffle Saturday, April 17 with the drawings for fishing gear and money.

Fishermen are also rewarded for the largest fish and 2nd largest fish record for each week of the derby. For week 4 the largest fish and 1st place winner was Carin Ford of Sierraville, Ca. with his catch of 5lb 3oz and 24in in length beauty. The second place winner Ronnie Knox of Sierraville, Ca. recorded a fish weighing 3lb 7oz and 21in in length. Congratulations on those weekly winners who went home with cash, free slot play and drawings.
Anglers fishing the banks with Power Bait, night crawlers, marshmallows and spinners are catching fish. For those boaters on the water try using Rapalas for good results
