Colorado River Trout Elusive

Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV

Our trout bite has been on the elusive side a bit but with some technique and good spotting on hold up spots anglers are still doing ok.   On the  The Arizona shore the area is proving to produce some good trout fishing.

James Walters landed a few in the casino area. One of the rainbow trout he is holding weighs 3.14 pounds at 19 and 3/8 inches. He was using  pistole pete. It seems this season there are a lot of various spinners that are producing some great catches. the striper bite along the river hasn’t really got started. There are a few being picked up in various parts of the river but it’s a little slow with some anglers doing ok using anchovies.

Daniel fields landed this 13 pound striper and just close to 7 and half pounds. He was fishing from Arizona shore in the avi casino area. Daniel said he saw a few bigger ones cruising by.
