The lake is mostly open water for fishing, though with below freezing temperatures this past week, there has been skim ice forming along the shorelines in the morning. But fishing has been fair to good for 10 to 13 inch fish using the usual worms and PowerBait. Small Cave Lake specials, wooly buggers and the usual nymphs such as prince, hares ears and pheasant tail nymphs should all work.
