If you are looking for some good fishing McCloud is the place to go. I called it a day after catching and releasing 20 Trout while trolling out near the dam. Trolling the surface down to 40 feet has been producing steady action. Trolling a Sep's dodger and a worm in the top 20 feet will nail the Rainbows and working a plug 20 to 40 feet might get you a nice Brwon Trout. I was lucky enough to land one Brown Trout while trolling a Rebel Crawdad plug at 35 feet. Trolling slow is the key 1mph or slower.
