Our SFR Charter was a blast aboard the MIRAGE out of Port Hueneme Sportfishing. The weather conditions were once again forecasted to be choppy with gusty winds but we had a beautiful day fishing Santa Rosa Island.

Our trip was sponsored by Catchy Tackle so we raffled off some really nice jigs and of course our new Sportfishingreport.com T-Shirts. Captain Joe Villareal and his Crew put us on some squid so we made some candy before giving the White Seabass a try. The full moon lit up grassy Santa Rosa while the sun rose over Santa Cruz. It was a picture perfect day! Twenty-one anglers had easy limits of nice grade Santa Rosa Rockfish.
