Oct. 12 fishing report from Anthony Dovidio: “We have had a few subtle weather systems really influence fishing the past few days. High winds at night are a clear sign that a weather abnormality has changed the consistency of day and night fishing.
Waddell Dam has been changing the flow erratically, causing a gain and loss of current on an hourly basis. A good rule of thumb during these two components is to minimize water and fish the deeper, less-influenced water.
Fish do not respond well to rapid change, so they will enjoy the consistency of the lower water column. My go-to tactic is to fish the river channels of the creek arms with jigging spoons and at night focus on water in the 60-80 foot mark.
This picture is Tony Harter, a patron on our guide boat with a really nice catch for Lake pleasant. For more information on Lake Pleasant feel free to contact us at www.stripersnatcher.com”
(Lake elevation 1,656 feet, 53 % full).

Roosevelt LakeOct. 13 report from Jim Goughnour of Rim Country Custom Rods: The bass fishing conditions on Roosevelt Lake have been upgraded to excellent. Anglers are reporting that the fishing has not been this good since the spring, and in a way, they are correct. All species of fish sense the change in water temperature. In the spring, bass are actively feeding after a long period of slow metabolism. In the fall, fish are again feeding heavily in preparation to the colder months...... Read More
