A quick look is all it took to evaluate the whole picture. Nothing changed. To reiterate the litany of terrible conditions or lament about them was pointless; especially taking into account that we we're gone. Another time for that place there will be, perhaps even tomorrow. We well know that any one of these places can turn on a dime. That knowledge is the elixir of optimism; a fuel that many a triumph in the face of doom can be attributed to. But instinct speaks clearly in this instance, and the clock is ticking; any more time here would be a fool's errand. So the majority of our day was passed in prepartation for bigger and better things to come. Good enough weather made an easy time of it as we slid into the dark eagerly awaiting arrival at our favored zone tomorrow.
