Gorgeous day today! Fish biting, no wind, warmed up to 32F & lots of open water. Low water ramp in good shape. But you don’t need a boat to catch fish. Shore fishing still going strong, fly fishing & kayak trolling good for double digits. Update: I must admit, the surface temp was 37F pretty solidly on the west side of the lake, which is only 5F short of solid. Lol. & I did push thru about 15ft of tissue paper ice to launch my kayak at Christie.

We don’t always get the predicted snowfall during a storm event, however we do prepare for the worst and accept the least. Predictions range from 3-7” to 12-18” of snow. One thing will be certain is roads are probably going to be impacted even if we only see a few inches. I expect to see low temps drop below zero when single digits are predicted (at this point Thursday/Friday at 1F)and high temps around freezing won’t help much to thaw...... Read More
