Water Conditions: Excellent

The water is nice and clear but very cold.
Warming weather through the 3/14 weekend will probably increase flows but still very mice.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches: Excellent

The fishing has been excellent for quantity and size in both the Interpretive Center and canyon sections. The surfaced road to the Interpretive Center and beyond as far as gate to Hot Creek is plowed. From the gate to the canyon section is closed so you will have a little walk.

Start with small midges early, then whe you start catching fish you can go up some in size and move to more "buggy" pattrens and scuds.

Some BWO action midday usually and reports are it is great fishing until at least 2 pm and some warmer days until 4 pm. When it does shut off it is abrupt.

- NYMPHS
#20-22 WD-40 in Olive or Black, #18-22 Zebra Midges, #18-20 Pheasant Tail, #18-20 Surface Emergers and #16-18 Scuds in Olive or Grey. Add #18 Copper John's to the list.

- DRIES

#18-20 Hatchmaster BWO, #18-20 Comparadun BWO and #20-26 Parachute Adams

Guides Hint: I know the recommendations haven't change in 8 weeks. If it works don't fix it. On warmer days, the average angler that leaves the store is returning 3-4 hours later with 9-12 fish landed, one over 19 inches, at Upper O, Hot Creek, and Lower O with the Res a close second. The quality of the fishing this Winter has been uncanny..
