Our shore line here along the beautiful Colorado River below the Davis Dam is providing for some great out door activity. Our anglers are enjoying the striper bite and it is on. I have been hearing that the casino areas and above the bridge has been producing some nice catches. Bullhead City's Community Park also is a great area with some nice spots along the shore line. Our newest angler with his first striper is 6 year old Action Jackson Perry. He is holding a 2.86 pound striper at 21 and 1/4 inches. He was on a friends boat and was fishing with anchovies in the Upper Big Bend area.  A bit down river in the Lower Big Bend area and with friends Vincent Contreras (yellow shirt) has his first stripers ever. Moving down stream some and in the Upper Nature Center area we have our local angler David Nader. Dave was fishing from shore and landed a couple using anchovies the bigger fish was 3.14 pounds and 21 and 3/4 inches combined they weighed 4.32 pounds. What we are mostly getting is the schooling stripers a lot of them in the trout size like a pound or so. With the limit of 10, below the Davis Dam you can make some great meals with that size fish. The story goes like this some say throw back the small ones so they will get bigger some say you keep your catch so the others will grow bigger. Right now there are a lot of the smaller stripers running in the river. these smaller fish seem to get to the bait first but hold on as there are some larger fish out there.

Not much word from the Marsh as of yet  and up on Lake Mohave there has been some catfish activity and some striper action near the coves by the dam and just below the power lines.

Hope this helps some for now. We look forward to seeing you in to share that catch and hear your story thanks for all of your support.
