The lake is completely ice free as of 3/15 and water level is rising. Might be completely full by Openers. The Crowley Cam will up next week after waiting for an all-weather enclosure to deal wioth the 100 mph winds and tons of lens-fogging moisture. We are placing it on the roof at the Fish Camp this year as I moved back to Mammoth. It will be aimed across the parkling lot at the flag pole so you can get a perfect idea of wind strength.
The bad news is your boss might see you launching your boat on a day you called in sick so wear a disguse if necessary.
