The northern portion of the reservoir is covered by very thin ice. The best access for shore fishing is off the main shorelines. Anglers are using rainbow PowerBait and night crawlers with water bobbers for trout. The fishing pier and launch ramp are closed due to low water. For up to date ice conditions contact Spring Valley State Park at 775-962-5102.
