Waiting for winter.
We have the cold, just need some snow. Flows are low, water is cold. High pressure looks to be parked over us for another 2 weeks, ugh.

Very cold overnight lows, somewhat mild afternoons. Your best fishing, especially on the CA side will be later in the day when the water warms a bit. It’s cold and low and not easy fishing. Kinda like that all over the river. One exception is the lower river out East. There’s more water and warmer temps in that zone. It’s very easy finding the fish right now, getting them to eat is the hard part. It’s cold, and they don’t budge sometimes. We are getting some Baetis hatches right around 1:30, and some fishing looking up. Always fun to get a few on dries.

So speak to someone, whoever will listen, and ask for some rain and snow.
