Fishing on the Nevada side of the East Walker has been really good lately. The warmer weather we have had has freed the river from any anchor ice and access is great. Fish are active and happy. The water is really low at 20 CFS and is the only downside to fishing right now. The flows have remained at this level for weeks now and should remain in this range for another month or two. The fish are going to be hanging around deeper water and in runs and pools near deeper water. A stealthy approach is needed. Wearing landscape or sky colored clothing is a good start. The fish are pretty opportunistic right now and will eat a variety of nymphs and midges. Sizes 16-20 are your best bet. With the flows this low a High Sticking or Dry Dropper approach is best. Mid-Morning until mid afternoon is going to be your best times to fish.
