The East is still running at 20 cfs for the time being, the fishing down there has been pretty good lately, lots of nice fish being caught. We’ve even talked to a few anglers who are very new to fly fishing and have had good 8 to 10 fish days this past week! Most of the action is with nymphs but there has been some decent fish caught with streamers lately as well. There’s no real need to get down there early in the morning since it’s still been fairly cold, the best action this time of the year is from around 8 or 9 am to 3 or 4 pm. Some patterns to try include: flashback emerger, micro mayfly, san juan worm, zebra midge, squirmy wormy, radiation baetis, darth baetis, micro stones, dead drift crayfish and zuddlers.
