Stampede Reservoir is fishing great with a wide open Kokanee bite until about 11 in the morning. The Kokanee being reported are relatively small, around 7 to 11 inches in size, but they are abundant. Anglers fishing for Kokanee should focus around 20 to 40 feet of water near the boat ramp, dam, or Little Truckee inlet. Anglers trolling for trout should use rapalas, sierra spoons, speedy shiners, and worms with dodgers.
