We have our local fishing club that is mentored by Gary Regan. It’s open for anglers young and old to try and catch fish in our area. The fishing area that is used  by our young anglers in the shore line along the Colorado River below the Davis Dam. The area that has worked for them on this excursion is near  the chaparral shore line. The group of Dustin Anaya, Drake Knight, Jason Barrela and Russell and Evan Mynk. Oh yes Gary Regan of course. They were fishing with anchovies and landed a few stripers. This size is what is mostly running along our area and there are some great spots to try. They are the nature center and rotary park have been doing well and producing a few along with the community park area and near the casinos just to name a few spots. These are some of the areas where anglers are having some success from shore.

I have been getting some news from up on Lake Mohave that trolling up near the basin has been producing a few stripers in the 4 to 6 pound range. The Topock marsh area is a great spot for large mouth bass and various catfish some channel and I have been hearing about a few of the bullhead cat fish being landed on chicken livers.

Hope this helps for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and the story. But mostly thanks for all of your support.
