We are having a great striper season mostly the smaller ones are being picked up.  Our local anglers Mike Merritt and fishing buddy Sharon Brewster are showing off a super catch of these stripers then landed. They were fishing in the big bend area and using anchovies yep our favorite striper bait. I am getting reports that a few of the stripers being caught here below the Davis Dam along the Colorado river are getting a bit larger in size. Reports of a few fish  in the 3 to 6 pound range being landed in various locations. For example the community park are has been doing very well and Rotary park is doing well for both striper and Trout.

We are now getting trout planted here . The Rainbow trout are being stocked by the federal hatchery the willow beach hatchery at the bottom of the Hoover dam. This will  be happening until March again if all goes well. This is a great time to get your trout gear ready and plan the family outing to try your luck in landing a fish or 2.

Up on Lake Mohave the striper boils are starting to show up in some of the coves. Watch for the ripples  and or the birds in the area.

The marsh area has been a bit slow but a few cat fish are being landed using mostly chicken livers They are working very well and along with anchovies you have a good chance at landing  a nice channel cat.

Hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch mostly thanks for your support.
