The Upper Truckee River is flowing around 50 CFS near Tahoe City. Anglers will notice small blue-winged olives hatching in the Truckee River system throughout the day. Anglers fishing the upper river should concentrate their efforts in the deeper pools. Towards Glenshire, there is some dry fly fishing from 10am to 2pm, but mostly indicator nymphing with worms, small bwo nymphs, and midge patterns such as san juan worms, juju baetis or zebra midges. Below Boca Reservoir, flows are around 150 CFS on average. There is still a small streamer bite here, just use smaller flies. Anything black, yellow-black, or natural colored for streamer flies should do the trick.

FLOWS: Tahoe City 51 CFS, Glenshire 102 CFS, and Farad Exit 306 CFS
