Catfish have been biting all around the lake and from the shoreline by the swim beach and the canal by the entrance booth off various cut baits such as chicken liver, sardines and anchovies. Trout have been caught along the shoreline using little spinners like rooster tails, kastmasters and super dupers but the best bait throughout the day have been power bait and nightcrawlers set up bait and wait style with smaller and split shot weights. Stripers have been eating sardines, lug worms and various lures and swimbaits off of points and throughout the marina in the early hours of the mornings mainly. Spanish Point, Bear Trap and Yellow Bar areas have been great spots for anglers to go drop bait for the day and come across Catfish and Stripers. Bass are slowing down a bit with the colder weather biting mostly on soft plastics like jigs, roboworms and senkos.
