The California side of the EW is closed until April 30, 2022

I haven’t heard much from the Nevada side of the EW, just 1 or 2 reports that were just ok. This time of the year with the low flows it’s best to try small midge and nymph patterns and focus on the deeper pools and runs where there will be more fish hanging out. Sometimes if there’s some overcast weather you can do well this time of the year with dries as well. It’s pretty cold in the mornings so you don’t really need to hit the water until about 10 or so after it warms up a bit. Try to be sneakier than usual, with the lower water levels the fish tend to be a bit more spooky. Generally speaking, the fishing action tends to get better towards January and February when the weather usually warms up a bit
