Water levels have gone up closer to normal levels compared to what it has been throughout the winter months. Fish have still been staying somewhat deep, anywhere up to 40 feet for bass and 80 feet for stripers. Most anglers have had luck on soft plastic baits such as robo worms and senkos throughout the day to come across bass or using deeper diving baits like crank baits and jerkbaits to cover more water.

Stripers have been biting anchovies and sardines mainly bait and wait style with a heavy sinker to endure the winds and currents during the day.

Catfish are still biting very well in coves and off sandy banks on make and chicken liver or sardines.

Trout have slowed down quite a bit from the shorelines although some popped have still been able to come across a few out towards Posey Cove and Spanish Point using nightcrawlers and bait.
