Riviera Marina Fishing Report

Colorado River - Laughlin - Laughlin, NV

Our river fishing is picking up with more stripers and a few Smallmouth Bass. That is here below the Davis Dam along the shores of the Colorado River. Our local anglers and visiting anglers are having some success up and down the river. The casino area has been known to produce some of our larger stripers along with the shoreline at community park. Rotary Park also has some great shore line for casting out a line.

Our local angler bubba (known as Bob Jacobsen) was fishing a bit below the rotary park area and landed a nice Smallmouth Bass. He was fishing from shore using his favorite lure and landed this smallie at 2.4 pounds and 17 and 1/4 inches.   A nice fish the legal length is 13 inches for both large mouth bass and the small mouth bass just an update .

Our next angler Jennifer Munz with her 2 helpers sons Anthony (tallest) and Jackson Lockwood. They were fishing near the casinos on the Nevada side shore line. Jennifer was using a lure that she had crafted her self and had hand painted it also. This lure proved to produce well and she landed a nice 4.1 pound striper at 23 inches. Now that is a cute story, she had been changing the design a few times and the color a few this one proves successful.

I am not getting much word from the lake but I did hear of some catfish action near the coves up from Katherine Landing.

Hope this helps some for now and we look forward to seeing you in soon to share that catch and the story with it. Mostly thanks so much for all the support.
