The Caples Lake Resort has opened for the season. The water level is up, and the fishing has been fair. The EID day use, and boat launch is open to the public. Boat and cabin rentals are available at the resort. The lake offers rainbow, brown and mackinaw trout. The campground was not open as of last week. Caples Lake: The lake has thawed out and the water level is high
Red Lake: The lake has thawed out and the fishing has been slow
Indian Creek Reservoir: The fishing has been good for small rainbows
West Carson River (CA): The flows have been fluctuating and fishing has been good in most areas
East Carson River (CA): Look for that slack water and drop a power egg into it
Markleeville Creek: Fishing has been good to fair
