Jay checked in with us after a recent trip out to Wildhorse Reservoir on January 31st:

Cold windy weekend at Wildhorse. Ice was 15” with a bunch of slushy spots. At times fishing was fast and furious and other times it was dead. Couldn’t quite get a pattern down but we still caught a bunch. Maybe the sporadic bite had something to do with the storm blowing in and out. I sent a underwater camera down and the bottom is full of perch but they are tiny right now. Future looks good for the perch.
