Pyramid Lake - Sutcliffe, NV (Washoe County)
by Chad Burton and Chris Borden
The lake rose to 93 percent of capacity, and the bite had really improved until the arrival of the colder weather. Bass anglers reported hooking up with brown Senko style baits, Ned rigs in Aaron’s Magic, and Margarita Mutilator drop shot 6” Fat Robos. Anglers also reported takers on deep diving crankbaits and spinnerbaits in the mud lines. Striped bass ate cut sardines, anchovies, and nightcrawlers from shore in the marina. They also chased trolled umbrella rigs in 25 to 50 feet of water on points. Catfish anglers did well with chicken liver, dip bait, and garlic scented nightcrawlers.
