Baum Lake should be on your radar over the next week or so as the weather looks to be shaping up very nicely, and with sunshine in the winter, the insects and fish will be going crazy. Anglers returning from the lake all have big smiles. Fish are eating midge larvae and Blue Wing Olive nymphs for the most part. For dries, the BWO Comparadun and Norman's Loopwing work well, for your underwater offerings Sweet Peas, the light BP Weiss Nymphs, and #18 olive S&M nymphs are all good. Don't forget your midge and Wooly Bugger boxes. Balanced Leeches in black and olive under an indicator when the wind picks up can save the day here. Our guides have this place wired if you are looking for some tactical advice on fishing a great spring creek fishery with an expert!
