The East Walker on the California side of the state line is closed until April 27. 2024. The Nevada side of the river is open through the Winter.

The flows on theEW are still at about 125 cfs, not sure how long that great flow will last but it’s working great for now. The fishing has been very good down there with lots of nice fish being caught, mostly on nymphs and streamers and a few here and there on dries. Dry/dropper rigs have also been working pretty good some days. The weather has been much nicer the last few days and this has helped the fishing get even better. Most of the anglers we’ve talked to have been reporting 5 to 15 fish per half day or so with most being in the 14 to 17 inch range with a few here and there around 20 or 22. Some patterns to try: perdigon nymphs, copper john, darth baetis, poxyback stone, micro stone, rubberlegs, sculpzilla, Dali Lama, fishwhacker, cousin it, baby gonga, chubby Chernobyl.
