It has only been a week or so since our last report, but let me tell you that things are looking really good out on the water. Baitfish are starting to bundle and move in from the depths of their winter refuge, and the Cutties are taking notice. We are fully committed to deep water techniques out of the Water Master boats, and we are having a blast.

In a nutshell, the trout are fired up. The takes are getting more aggressive, the fights are sensational, and we are ready to get you out on the water to experience this epic part of the season. Nothing really conventional when it comes to our unique late season approaches, so the only thing familiar to most fly fishers will be the rods and reels we are using. Special techniques and approaches are necessary to chase the world’s largest cutthroat trout this time of year, and when you hook one of these fish on a PFC rig, well, its something you will not forget.

You can fish choose to fish so many other waters this time of year as all of the other popular trout fisheries are open in North America, but why would you? Join us for Water Master season where the crowds are Nil, the weather is gorgeous, and the fish are just plain big. Let’s Go!!
