Winter fly fishing on the Truckee River. 

Cold at night, not too bad during the days. Frog water time.

Fish water that's about 2-5 feet deep. Slow walking pace water. My favorite way to cover that water is with a streamer. Winter, we catch most of our biggest fish on the Truckee River. That and Spring. 

The water will be warmer and the fishing typically better down on the Nevada side. Not always, when we get AR's, typically those are very warm storms and the fishing will be good on the CA side. -Much like will happen this week.
