WDFW is seeking Southwest Washington anglers to assist with collecting wild steelhead scale samples in Lower Columbia River tributaries. A training session will be held Thursday, Dec. 19, from 6-8 p.m., at the WDFW Southwest Region office, 5525 South 11th Street, in Ridgefield.
This effort aims to assess the age-composition of steelhead populations, filling critical data gaps that hinder the understanding of population diversity and dynamics. Additional information is available on the Southwest Washington fishing webpage: https://wdfw.wa.gov/places-to-go/life-outdoors/southwest...
