The lake had 6 to 8 inches of ice on it last week. Some anglers were using gold Kastmasters or small spoons for the rainbows and brook trout. Note; The parking area gets a little busy on the weekends with snowmobilers. Make sure you have a way out when you park.

West Carson River (CA): There is a foot or so of snow in Hope Valley and the Woodfords Canyon area
East Carson River (CA): The river up past Hangman's bridge is perfect for fishing right now
Woods Lake: The road has not been plowed and there is about 3 feet of snow
