Ice thickness is variable across the reservoir, measuring between 4″ and 6″ in most areas surveyed, with some areas of thinner ice. Always take caution and drill test holes. There are multiple pressure ridges that formed across the lake and anglers should steer clear of. Daytime high’s have been up to 50 degrees, resulting in puddles on top of the ice. Use extreme caution throughout the reservoir and be prepared with safety equipment (ice picks, rope, extra clothes, etc.). Trout fishing should be good for fish between 16″ and 22″. Anglers are having success with perch, many over 9 inches.
