The California side of the EW is closed for Winter, just the Nevada side is open now.

With the much warmer weather we've been getting things are starting to change up on the EW. The flows have been increasing do to some early run-off and are sitting at about 251 cfs today, depending on the upcoming weather this could change either up or down from day to day. With the higher flow over the last few days the water has been a bit off color, sounds like not really bad but there's a fair amount of dirt and debris flowing down the river at times. The few reports I've received since the water started to rise have not been very good, anglers have reported tough conditions, fairly dirty water and pretty much no fish activity. This is of course after the flows changed for several days in a row, the last time being last Friday, typically when the flows remain steady for a few days the fish start to get active again, hopefully this will hold trouble in the upcoming days.
