Fishing conditions: Good
Report: We had some second hand hearsay from some anglers about the river becoming milky after the rain, first hand reports from anglers below down by the lake are that it stayed in and clarity is good. Overall the river is fishing well, best before and after the sun is on the water. Look to see more browns in the river as they get ready to spawn this fall. The October Caddis should be pupating now, so we'll keep our fingers crossed there's a big crop this season. Dry-dropper with a Chubby Chernobyl hanging a Weiss Firefly, Walt's Worm, Olive Hotspot, or Sweet Pea is a good setup. The Yellow Sallies are coming off in the afternoons, so swap your dropper with a UV Sally or Jiggy Yellow Sally. As the browns get closer to spawning they will be more aggressive, fish streamers for them. To reserve a day with one of our expert guides to experience one of the most picturesque streams in the north state, call Bryan in Outfitters at 800-669-3474.
