The salmon season is officially under way - at least the salmon catching season. After a very slow opening month, salmon fishing has been excellent the last few days. The whole Golden Gate Fleet limited the past three days' fishing between N Buoy and Point Reyes. The average was 6 to 10 pounds with a few up to 25 pounds. Halibut fishing is decent in the Bay.
