Water conditions:
Flows cannot be better, they are currently at 45 cfs. This is a permanent flow required to be maintained by LADWP. Water is clear and cold.

Fishing Conditions and Hatches:
Excellent and fishing has been great. Good place to beat the crowds. Take water along as it is hot these days.

Recommended Flies:

DRIES:
#18-#20's Tricos, spinners/emergers #18-#22s.

NYMPHS:
poxy back baetis, wd-40's, kyles super flash p/t, beerhead baetis, Two Bit Hookers

STREAMERS:
Wooley buggers and leeches(small)

Hot Creek: The flows on Hot Creek are down to about 65 cfs and the fishing starts around 9:00 AM
Crowley Lake: The fish are deep at Lake Crowley
Owens River: No runoff yet has kept the flows on the Upper Owens slower than usual. Fishing is fair to good

Hot Creek: Fishing on Hot Creek has been excellent
San Joaquin River: San Joaquin not open yet
Crowley Lake: Fish are in the deep water at Crowley
Owens River: On the Upper Owens you have to get the fly down to where the fish are
Owens River: The Owens River Gorge has been the best for Fly Fishing recently
Owens River: The Lower Owens is slow right now
Bridgeport Reservoir: Bridgeport is OK for Fly Fishing, but if the weather warms the fishing could be even better
East Walker River: Fishing on the East Walker is on the improve
