Nymphing is working best on the East Walker

East Walker River (CA) - Bridgeport, CA

The river is flowing at 128 today and has been there for a few days now, the water temp is around 47 in the upper stretch. The dry action seems to have slowed with the nicer weather but the nymphing has still been pretty good.

We've heard of some slow patches here and there, and it seems like some days they're not getting really grabby until 10 or 11 in the morning but if you keep after them, make sure your bugs are deep enough and drifting good you should be in the game.

Some patterns that are working well include flashback emergers, rainbow warrior, zebra midge, san juan worm, flashback pheasant tail, wd-40 and silver streak. Haven't heard much from the Rosachi this week, if anyone has a report feel free to share!
